５．講演要旨　　
　This seminar will introduce J, a mathematical notation executable by computer,
　and its use as advanced intellectual software for teaching secondary 　　　
　mathematics.
　The first hour is an introductory lecture. The second hour is an informal 　
　workshop.

　15:00 -- 16:00:
Difficulties with Traditional Mathematical Notation
Features of J as Computer Notation
Examples in Algebra and simple computing
　16:00 -- 17:00:
　Try using J software individually “hands-on” with your laptop computer and
“minds-on” attention to teaching and learning mathematics at secondary and
　college level.
　You may choose from the following topics: Gauss’s Formula, Pascal’s 　
　Triangle, Pythagorean Theorem, Fibonacci Sequence, Fractals, and basic topics
　in Number Theory, Logic, Sets, Random Numbers, Combinatorics, Polynomials,
　Recursion, Probability, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Calculus.
