Oct. 7	<<Repair of Library Inner Walls>> October 17 (Sat.) - 19 (Mon.) We are repairing the inner walls of the library on the date noted above. Construction scaffolds will be placed on the first floor, so a part of the "Green Bunko" area will not be available and there may be some noise and vibration upon repair. We are sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for your cooperation.

Jun. 19	<<Cleaning of North Windows>>   June 23 (Tue.) to 25 (Thu.) 9:00-17:00 Our contract cleaning company is scheduled to be here in the library for the duration written above. You are welcome to use the library as usual. But please note that the workers will be working with the windows facing north, so they will be in and around the Reading Rooms as well as near the carrels placed at the north side of the building on the second and third floor. Feb. 18	Change of the arrangement of books in some areas The specialized books of Math, Materials Science and Information Science on the second floor had been divided into Japanese books and foreign books in the same call number area. Now we rearranged those books to mix Japanese books and foreign books for saving space.

The inventory will be conducted according to the following schedule. During the inventory, we will place ropes to indicate off-limit areas and restrict access to the shelves partly for a fixed time. If you would like to use a material in the off-limit areas, please ask the library staff. We are planning to bind academic journals published in 2007 and before as following schedule. Therefore for some period you can not browse or borrow those journals.

NOTE: * Binding Materials : Those published in 2007 and combined one published in 2006 and 2007 * Duration : June 22 to August 11 The binding of all materials is scheduled to be completed around July 28. We will relocate them in the stacks in order soon after the registration has been completed.
