" Jaist Library News " is published on an irregular basis and provide you with information about Library services and materials.

Up to now "OPAC" (Online Public Access Catalog of JAIST) showed "研究室 (Laboratory)" if a searching material was located in some lab. Therefore searcher could not know which lab has the material.
Today we change the system and disclose the information who (teacher) has the materials in lab on "OPAC".
And if you want to use the material in lab, you have to make an application for borrowing it to the library. Without that application, you can not borrow the material from the teacher.
So for borrowing the material in lab, please be sure to go through the procedure as follows.

• First, fill in "Application form for Material ( in lab ) Borrowing" and hand in it to the library staff. After acceptance, we return it with a library stamp.
  * E-mail application can also be accepted. (Request the forms by e-mail to "toshokan".) In that case, a reply e-mail is sent.

• After that, please ask the teacher if the desired material can be borrowed by e-mail or phone before visiting.

• If the teacher accepts your offer, hand in the upper half of the application form to him/her and borrow the material. (The due date of it is appointed by him/her.)
  Then, let us know the due date and the name of the teacher who lent it by e-mail.

• After returning the material, please let us know about it by e-mail. (In that mail, be sure to enter the teacher's e-mail address in "Cc".)
