Support the JAIST Foundation

The world has been changing by unprecedented scale and speed. It is required quality people who are independent and challenging having wide area of academic skills, and knowledge and methodology of advanced science and technology to deal with change of such world and lead a new task to the solutions by trying.

Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) was founded in October 1990 as the first independent national graduate school in Japan based on research at the global level in advanced science and technology. JAIST is committed to develop such human resources holding the world top level research in the background and holds up “a philosophy of developing world class education and research in a rich academic environment and fostering leaders who will open up the world of the next generation through science and technology creation.” JAIST sent out many talented people into the society such as highly qualified researchers and engineers who can take a part in research and development at industries including researchers at universities and public agencies.

“JAIST Foundation” was established in 2010 taking the opportunity to twenty-year-foundation of JAIST for the purpose of enhancing the support such human resources development and world-class research promotions.

JAIST will mark the 30 anniversary of the foundation in October 2020 and endeavor to grow with a mission of “promoting a world top-level research and developing human sources who have ability to adapt that, and social contribution through education and research”.
