今回のセミナーは JAIST 情報科学研究科 COE Project: Verifiable and Evolvable e-Society
および JAIST 研究プロジェクト LCCC (Logic for Cognition,Computation and Communication)
の一環として開催されます。

講演題目 (title)： Atomicity and formal semantics

In this talk I will discuss various linguistic phenomena analysis of
which involves the use of atoms (of denotational algebras). First I
will present various denotational algebras pointing out their atoms.
Particular role will be assigned to algebras of modifiers. Then the
following phenmomena will be discussed in this connection:
categorial polyvalency, syncategorematicity and, more generally,
adjectival modification, and presupposition.
