修了生のHE, Zhizhouさん (令和2年3月博士前期課程修了、ヒューマンライフデザイン領域・宮田研究室) のグループが国際会議NICOGRAPH International 2020においてBest Online Presentation Award (Paper)賞を受賞しました。

　NICOGRAPH International 2020は、芸術科学会主催の国際会議であり、2000年から毎年開催されている歴史ある学会です。今年度は第19回目となり、コンピュータグラフィックスおよびその関連分野における科学と芸術の融合研究を推進し、メディアアートの発展を図ることを目的としています。
　今回、NICOGRAPH International 2020は6月5日～6日にかけて東京都で開催される予定でしたが、新型コロナウイルスの影響でオンライン開催となりました。

■受賞対象となった研究の内容
　本研究では、学習者の書道練習を支援するインタラクティブプロジェクションシステムを提案しました。書道初心者の方は、書道の特徴である「字体のバランス」「筆順」「太さ」などを理解するのに苦労し、練習中に挫折してしまうことがよくあります。これらの研究課題に向けて、本研究はプロジェクターカメラシステムを用いて異なる習熟度の書道学習者を支援することができた。

■受賞にあたっての一言
First, I would like to thank Professor Miyata and Professor Xie for their guidance on my research project. I think it is inseparable from the two professors' patient guidance of my research in two years. About my research, I personally like calligraphy culture very much, and see more and more foreigners from western countries want to practice calligraphy. I am determined to design a convenient and effective calligraphy support system to help foreigners learn calligraphy better, so as to deepen their understanding of East Asian culture. That's my original intention. In addition, I would like to thank all the experimenters who participated in the system experiments. Your full cooperation and feedback are very valuable for the improvement of the research.
