Fostering Human Resources with Advanced Information Expertise for the Creation of a Next-Generation AI Society

JAIST will open the Advanced Information Specialist Course (commonly known as the JAIST×Human Course) in October 2025, following its selection for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's fiscal 2024 project to support universities and technical colleges in enhancing their functions to secure highly specialized information technology human resources.

In today's era of data × AI, data science has become an extremely important academic field. However, it is not enough to study only data science and AI to develop human resources for the realization of a human-centered society (Society 5.0). There is an urgent need to develop advanced information specialist who possess a composite of advanced knowledge in IoT, cybersecurity, man-machine interaction, and human informatics, with a focus on data science and AI.

The aim of this course is to develop advanced information specialist who have knowledge of AI solution technologies and AI ethics, which are in high demand in industry, and who can work on research and development of next-generation AI in a society where AI and humans coexist, and who can comprehensively and complexly solve problems in the creation of various AI solutions, thereby creating a next-generation AI society. To this end, the course JAIST×Human (Joint Ai Interaction cyberSecuriTy×Human) provides a curriculum covering four fields (AI×Interaction×Cybersecurity×Human) in a composite manner and fosters human resources who can tackle research and development issues in the next generation of AI.
