ABOUT

5th International Symposium on Intelligence Design (ISID 2025) is an international conference for researchers from various research fields to discuss about the potential future of artificial intelligence and design. This symposium aims to introduce the latest research findings by world-class researchers who lead innovation in design and research, and explore unexplored research areas in the field as well as the possibility of approaching new issues. ISID 2025 is sponsored by Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Research Center for Vision Oriented Society Design. ISID 2025 will be held in person at the Kanazawa Ekimae Office in Kanazawa, Japan, on February 28, 2025 (Fri.) with free registration. Registration link.

Important Date
Registration: until February 24, 2025
Symposium: February 28, 2025

Speakers

ISID 2025 will invite the invited speakers from wide range of research fields related to Computer Graphics, Visualization, Artificial Intelligence and Design.

Invited Speakers

OSAWA Hirotaka [Keynote]

Associate Professor, Keio University

Dr. Hirotaka Osawa is an associate professor at Keio University and a visiting associate professor at the University of Tsukuba. His research field includes human-agent interaction, the development of anthropomorphic devices, simulation using social games for social agents, and exploring humanity studies through science fiction literature. He focuses specifically on how human-like appearance and attitude enhance the interaction between users and machines, as well as examining the role of social intelligence in improving our society.

Takayuki Itoh [Keynote]

Professor, Ochanomizu University

Takayuki Itoh is a Professor at Ochanomizu University in Japan. He received his Ph.D. from Waseda University in 1997. From 1992 to 2005, he was a researcher at the IBM Tokyo Research Center. In 2005, he joined Ochanomizu University as an Associate Professor and was promoted to Professor in 2011. His primary research interests lie in information visualization, particularly for graphs, hierarchical data, and high-dimensional data. He has served as General Chair for several international conferences, including IEEE Pacific Visualization 2018 and Graph Drawing 2022.

Hao Li [Keynote]

Director, MBZUAI Metaverse Center

Hao Li is the CEO and Co-Founder of Pinscreen, a Los Angeles-based startup renowned for its pioneering generative AI technologies in visual effects, dubbing, and digital humans. He is also Professor at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and the Director of the MBZUAI Metaverse Center. Hao’s research lies at the intersection of computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning with a focus on photorealistic human digitization, real-time performance capture, immersive telepresence, and generative video synthesis and manipulation.
