JAIST won the "Japan Ryugaku (meaning "study abroad") Award 2021" in the National and Public University category, and the award ceremony was held online on Friday, September 24th.
The Ryugaku Award is presented to schools that received high evaluations in a questionnaire on "Universities and Vocational Schools to Recommend to International Students" conducted by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education to academic and career counselors and teachers at Japanese language schools nationwide.
JAIST was selected as one of the award winners in the National and Public University category. The other award winners in the National and Public University category were Chiba University, Tsukuba University, University of Tokyo, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Yokohama National University, Osaka University, Kyoto University, Kobe University, and Nagoya University.
