On Wednesday, October 2nd , Entrance Ceremony of October FY2019 took place at School of Material Science Lecture Hall.

Total of 111 new students: 49 new students in Master's program, 62 new students in Doctoral program pledged to "work on their studies sincerely and fulfill their student duty as a member of JAIST", and the delegates handed their signatures to President.

President Asano read an address saying that "To have broader experience, it is important to have courage to change something. Please challenge taking some courses which you have no confidence or you are not good at and expand fields you can be confident about. I hope you actively initiate changes for your shining future."
