J-STEAM International Symposium "International Symposium on STEAM Learning" was held.
International Research Center for Innovation Design, JAIST held the "International Symposium on STEAM Learning" at the Ishikawa High-tech Conference Center on 20th April, 2019. The main theme was "STEAM learning in higher education".
STEAM learning can be defined as the integrated learning of Science、Technology、Engineering、Art, Mathematics, and it focuses on problem-based learning and creativity.
In this symposium, we discussed the educational assessment, curriculum of educational programs for fostering innovative leaders in higher education based on the case study in Japan, Korea, USA, and EU countries.
Over 40 people participated in this symposium, and it provided a good opportunity for building a networking base for the researchers and educators in higher education, which is the mission of the International Research Center for Innovation Design, JAIST.
