Post-doctoral researcher Dr. Zhongwang Wang in Mizuta Lab., Energy and Environment Area was granted "the 2019 Chinese Governmental Award for Outstanding Self- financed Students Award" by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). As his supervisor, Professor Mizuta Hiroshi received an official Certificate of gratitude from CSC as well.

This award, starting in 2003, was founded by the Chinese government with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of self-financed Chinese students studying oversea. Only these with outstanding performance in their PhD studies will be considered by the award selection panel and no more than 500 (around 20 in Japan) young talents will be granted the award each year over the world.

From 2015 April to 2020 March, Dr. Zhongwang Wang had completed his master and PhD courses in JAIST Mizuta-Manoharan laboratory. Being rewarded by CSC is not only approval of his great efforts, but also the approval of a great level of JAIST in higher education and academic research.
