Master’s Program

Level of master’s thesis to be fulfilled
The contents of Master’s Thesis, Research Project Report and Report of Survey for Doctoral Research Plan must show research abilities in the major field of study or outstanding abilities to take the lead in a career requiring advanced expertise in addition to the research abilities, and must deserve to be conferred master’s degree, based on the Diploma Policy.

Committee system and review process
- 4 or more examiners should be designated as the members of master’s thesis committee, and one of them as main examiner.
- Presentation session on the referred thesis should be held before or on the date of thesis defense. Thesis committee should be organized by the above members to conduct thesis defense and final examination.

Evaluation items
Evaluation is conducted in terms of viewpoint, originality, acquisition of problem-solving abilities, etc.

Doctoral Program

Level of doctoral dissertation to be fulfilled
The contents of Doctoral Dissertation must show advanced research abilities and abundant academic knowledge that forms the basis of its abilities, which are required to independently carry out research activities in the major field of study as a researcher or to engage in other highly specialized work, and must deserve to be conferred doctoral degree, based on the Diploma Policy.

Committee system and review process
- 5 or more examiners should be designated as the members of doctoral dissertation committee, and one of them as main examiner.
- A formal hearing on the referred dissertation should be held before or on the date of dissertation defense. Dissertation committee should be organized by the above members to conduct dissertation defense and final examination.

Evaluation items
Evaluation is conducted in terms of academic level, novelty, originality, practical applicability, etc.
