The automatic certificate issuing machine located outside the office of the Educational Affairs Department, issues certificates listed below. The machine is available 5:00 a.m.–11:55 p.m. every day (except for the Golden Week holiday and the New Year holiday). Use your birthday as a four-digit password (e.g. January 1-> 0101). if the machine have any problems, contact the Educational Service Section 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

For certification with specifications, request in person at the Educational Service Section, Educational Affairs Department. To request the certification of a sealed copy, submit a copy of the document which specifically states this request to the Educational Service Section.

For Degree-Seeking Students

• Certificate of Enrollment (Japanese/English)
• Official Transcript (Japanese/English)
• Certificate of Expected Program Completion (Japanese/English）
  * Can only be issued for a master's student who has submitted the research proposal or doctoral student who has submitted the dissertation outline.
• Student Discount Certificate for JR (Gakuwari)
• (Without the school seal) List of the graded courses taken at JAIST (Japanese/English)

For Non Degree-Seeking Students

• Certificate of Enrollment (Japanese/English)
