The National University Corporation, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as 'the University') has established the following policy when using official social media accounts (hereinafter referred to as 'official accounts') Please use these accounts with the following conditions in mind. Please note that the operation of accounts managed by the University's organizations other than the Official Accounts is different.

1　Purpose
The purpose of the official account is to actively disseminate information from the University, such as announcements, events and the University's attractions, in order to further enhance the University's public relations activities.

2　Information on official account
The following accounts are operated and managed by the Office of Public Relations of the University.

3　Operation policy
・The information provided by the official account is positioned as a supplement to the University's official website. For official announcements and views of the University, please visit the University's official website (https://www.jaist.ac.jp/english/ ).
・The official account will only be used to disseminate information from the University and will not, in principle, respond individually to comments or enquiries via the official account.
If you have any comments or questions for the University, please use the 'Contact Us' section of the official website of the University (https://www.jaist.ac.jp/english/studentlife/contact/index.html).
・As a rule, official accounts do not follow general accounts.

4　Disclaimer
・The University takes no responsibility for any actions taken by users using the information on the official account, although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information posted on the official account.
・The University is not responsible for any comments on the official account posted by users.
・The University is not liable for any problems or disputes that may arise between users or between users and third parties in relation to the official account.
・The copyrights and other rights to comments and other contributions belong to the user who made the contribution, but by making the contribution, the user grants the University the right to use the contribution free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis throughout the world, and agrees not to exercise the copyrights and other rights against the University.

5　Deletion of posts by users, etc.
Please note that if any of the following items apply, the information may be deleted or otherwise removed without notice.
(1) Any content that contravenes or may contravene any law, regulation, etc.
(2) Those that defame specific individuals, organizations, etc.
(3) For the purpose of political or religious activities.
(4) Items that infringe the intellectual property rights of the University or third parties, including copyright, trademark rights and portrait rights.
(5) Advertising, publicity, solicitation, sales activities and other commercial purposes.
(6) That which discriminates or encourages discrimination on the basis of race, ideology or creed, or that which is contrary to public order or good morals.
(7) False or untrue statements and mere rumors or those that promote rumors.
(8) Those that harm privacy, such as identifying, disclosing or leaking personal information without the consent of the person concerned.
(9) Impersonating other users, third parties, etc.
(10) Harmful programs etc.
(11) Inappropriate material, including obscene language.
(12) Any alteration of part or all of the content transmitted by the University.
(13) Items that are not relevant to the content of the University's transmission.
(14) Other information deemed inappropriate by the University and links containing such content.

6　Copyright
The copyright of the contents (text, photos, various data, etc.) on the official account belongs to the University or the copyright holder of the respective contents. Unauthorized reproduction, diversion or reprinting of the contents on the official account is prohibited.

7　Others
This policy is subject to change without notice if necessary.
