Comment and achievement

In contrast to that a professor at Japanese universities has an own laboratory, some faculties work together in the same office at the Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnologies Research Group in University of Southampton. Their teams are open for discussion anytime, and thus, I could talk with them about various research fields which very stimulate my research. As an achievement on this program, I deeply involved with the establishment of tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy equipment, and significantly improved its measurement configuration and reliability. Using this system, the characterization of local properties in graphene devices is enabled. (4 July. 2016, Takuya Iwasaki)
