Previous research experience:
- Innovation program at Career Service Center post-doc research and internship (April 2010-March 2011) on the topic: An investigation of tactile interaction focused on human emotions for new design materials
- Post-doc research topic (2009-2010): Tactile impressions of materials for product design
- Received Ph.D. degree in Knowledge Science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (2009). Research topic: An Approach to Design Focusing on the Structuring Process of Meaning.
- Received master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria (1999).
Research interests are in the areas of:
- Human impression formation
- Design cognition and emotion
- Design thinking
- Visual communication design
Research interests are focused on specific topics of: Design creativity and support of creative design process; Process of creative thinking in design; Affective design / Kansei engineering; Design for emotion and experience; Human tactile interaction; Design computing and cognition; and Knowledge creation in design.
