Title: Promotion of cooperation by adjusting strategy based on environmental fairness
Abstract:
The evolution of cooperation among selfish individuals is one of the most popular research interests in both biological and social systems. Many research focused on the emergence of cooperation and numerous mechanism of maintaining cooperation have been proposed accordingly. From the perspective of fairness, a set of adaptive strategies is proposed. According to these kinds of strategies, individuals will change their actions by sensing the fairness of environment in limited memory, i.e. individuals with this kind of strategy can select different actions in different environment according to a given threshold. The simulation results show that cooperation can be promoted by the proposed mechanism. In addition, memory length also has a significant effect on maintaining cooperation.
