概要：
In this paper, three groups of listeners differing in their L1s (Arabic, Japanese, and Persian) perceive 
the vowel length in unknown language was tested by two different experiments. The results obtained 
in this study demonstrate long-term L1 representations to a greater extent in the identification than
discrimination test on one hand. On the other hand, the different is small when they (Arabic and Japanese vs. Persian)
perceive vowel length in discrimination task. 
In this study, it is interesting that different experiment observed different results. 
The two experimental designs would be worth to learn through this paper.
