A service research for improving collective well-being

Abstract:
In JAIST Knowledge Management area, we have a group of doing service research that includes technology management related question of how we should use advanced technology to create individual/collective value. Service research is based on the science of value co-creation process and covers a wide range of economic, social, and environmental topics. As one of the faculties, I have been working on it from management perspective such as marketing, organizational theory, strategy, and so on. In this presentation, I will talk about some examples from previous and current studies in our lab by using the key words of customer well-being, service for the elderly, and service sustainability, thereby showing you the potential of service research for improving collective well-being as a frontier of service research.
