Abstract:
One of the drug delivery system (DDS) idea has controlled release of the drug. Collagen and gelatin currently used as DDS carriers have some problems such as fast degradation rate and use of toxic cross-linker, that polysaccharide like cellulose can be degraded. So we found to be degraded via Schiff base reaction after oxidation by Malaprade reaction. We can control the degradation speed by changing the concentration of oxidant. We will discuss the properties of biodegradable cellulose nano-fiber materials as drug delivery carriers.
