Description: This course reveals the definition of concepts, which is underlying the network technology from the lower layer to the upper layer. Then, this course extends for students to master the principle of routing protocol, wide area networks (WAN), and traffic theory. This course is also designed for students to learn the network protocol design and the recent technologies for the design, implementation, and operation of network systems. Note: This course is offered annually. Period: Term 2-1, i.e., 10th October 2024 (Thu) - 29th November 2024 (Fri) Click here for more information about this course. |
I450 Network Design Laboratory
Description: Design of TCP/IP network, network implementation, evaluation and management technology for networks, routers, switches, high-availability technology for networks, network testbed, implementation and evaluation for core services. Note: This course is offered annually. Period: Term 2-2, i.e., 6th December 2024 (Fri) - 4th February 2025 (Tue) Click here for more information about this course. |
I649E Advanced Wireless Networks
Description: This course explains fundamental and advanced concepts evolving towards advanced wireless networks, which are becoming more complex in both, number of different functionalities and number of users they serve. In particular, it covers hardware and architecture, adaptive MAC, network and transport layers. Due to the complexity of the technologies, this course also discusses topics of wireless ad hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, opportunistic and cooperative networks. Network optimization theory, network information theory, network management and radio resource management are included in this course as well. This course will explore seminal and contemporary research papers with a focus on the systems and performance aspects of utilizing wireless networking and technologies Note: This course is offered biennially. Period: Term 1-2, i.e., 12th June 2024 (Wed) - 31st July 2024 (Wed) Click here for more information about this course. |
